Each of these icons are extremely popular in today's society. They are memorable and define a "strong company logo." All of the above use minimal words and a unique design. They also contain memorable colors and designs and are not complex, making the icons eye-catching. Most of the icons above also have little to do with the products that the company supports. The Starbucks and McDonald's logos do not contain any food product related to the company. Nike does not have any sort of athletic product incorporated either. The most complex out of the icons I have chosen is obviously the Starbucks logo. However, it still successfully works and the woman represented is widely known across the nation.
I enjoy the colors used in the McDonald's logo. While it does not have anything to do with fast food specifically, the "golden arches" that make up the "M" remind me of french fries and the color scheme remind me condiments commonly used with fast food.
I also really enjoy the Underarmour logo because two simple letters combine make a unique shape that looks visually appealing and more than simply a "U" and "A." It is very creative and simple and works nicely on the products that the company sells.
